FLS's Farewell @ Laundry

One of my BFFs, Francis a.k.a Wei Wei (a.k.a Fatt Lan Sei a.k.a FLS) decided to abandon hop over to Singapore to work for a couple of years recently, so we threw her a farewell at Laundry, The Curve.

Of course, our initial open secret plan was to get her pissed drunk, but the plan got vetoed after we found out she was driving that night.

Booger.

[Pause].

But I still bought her a cocktail and psyched everyone else to get her different cocktails too. Muahahaha. I'm such an evil friend.

Elaine logic: Her boyfriend was there = he could always drive her back home (even though his own home is in the opposite direction) = opportunity that should not be missed = what the heck, let's do it!

好い IDEA だね?Bwahaha!

Or, I could just say I had faith in her ability to hold her liqueur. Pfftt....

Now someone had the brainwave to get a Long Island Tea Tower! SWEET~!* Even more of a reason to get Francis drunk!

"Drink, Francis, drink. Mummy say we shouldn't waste food or drinks, ya know? And there's soo much TEA in there...."

*evil cackle*

Halfway through the night I got quite peckish. So I ordered a NY Cheesecake.

Mm-mm~!* Not the best cheescake I've had but damn, it was still pretty good. (Especially when you're hungry).

Happy hobbit with her cheesecake!

With everyone slightly sloshed, camwhoring had never been such a good bad idea as then. *looks heavenwards*. But I'll be nice and NOT post some rather questionable shots taken that night...like Chee How going all girly with the earring and...nvm.

Think I'll just post the U-rated ones to spare everyone's sanity. Lol~

*Sniff*.

Come back at least once every month, woman!!!!!

So I can bug you to my hearts content. Muahaha.

Jap Food Review: Ichiban Izakaya~!*

So, there's a new Jap restaurant called Ichiban Izakaya that opened up in the office neighbourhood a few months back.

*cough cough* Right opposite our office to boot. How strategic.

Ahem. Naturally, yours truly just HAD to go try it. So off we trooped down to Ichiban Izakaya for lunch a few days after its opening.

Yeah this post is late but what the heck, I'm still gonna pimp this place. *evil smile*

Behold Jody and Edmund - the anti-paparazzi colleagues of mine doing an evasion tactic that didn't exactly work out. Pffftt....

We also had Amit with us, our colleague all the way from LA who's down in KL for a few weeks before he headed off to India, and then back to LA again. Phew! What a mad travelling schedule when you think of all the hours.

Meanwhile, yeah..this pic shows it. I was THAT psyched up to try out the food at the new place. Shows how deprived one can be when you have lots of choices when it comes to places to eat around my office, but half of 'em are either too pricey or tastes horrible.

P/s: I'm not being picky here. Try having steak that tasted more like leather instead. Wtf?

As Amit's a vegetarian, he ordered the yasai bento (vegetarian lunchbox) with agedashi tofu, yasai tempura, salad and uh..something that really looked yummy!

Okay, I'm not a HUGE sashimi fan. Yeah, I know. You can go scold me later for not cultivating the taste for it.

When it comes to Japanese food I'm more partial to the normal daily stuff like kitsune soba, yakisoba, omelette rice, Japanese curry....and this uber delicious ebi don~!*

Nicely friend ebi tempura with just the right amount of egg and taste on the rice...mm-mm! 凄っくうまい!

Being the piggy that I am, I also ordered a California Maki just for the heck of it. Woots! It was pretty good actually, but I would recommend their Spider Maki more instead.

Hmm...all in all, Ichiban Izakaya scores pretty well for taste. Plus their prices are quite ok, specially when it's around my office area.

I've definitely been haunting it pretty frequently lately and every time a friend drops by my area for lunch I drag 'em there. Haha.

Now if only I can get them to deal in midnight deliveries too.

Hmmm...

Back. Finally.

Crap. Where did all the time go? *blinks*

It's all because of summer, peeps. You know what that usually means for me.

YOUTH EXCHANGE PROGRAMME

The organizing of it, that is. As depressing as it is, I'm about 3 years over the age limit to hop onto the exchange and jet off to other countries for a month. Bah.

So yes, I was so busy it wasn't even funny. Personally, I think we should rent a pillar in KLIA and mark it as OUR spot. (Can we do that? Can we? Can we?)

Btw, it really wasn't my intention to be MIA for so many months. I swear, really. I certainly didn't even realise my blogskin went kaput for god knows how long. (I need to find another customized blogskin. ARGH. HELP~~~!!!)
